Kad-Sil
Silica, is an indigenously developed synthetic Silica,
manufactured with the most modern machinery under strictly
controlled conditions to maintain consistency of it’s physical
and chemical properties.
It
is an inert Inorganic Oxide of Silicon, having a very wide
applicability in many products, due it’s Low Bulk Density, fine
particle Size, High Surface Area and Higher Porosity.

|
- Rubber : Used as a
reinforcing filler in natural and synthetic rubber, by Hawaii
Chappals, Shoes, Rubber Rolls, Tyre and other moulded goods
manufacturers to provide tearing strength and high resistance
to abrasion.
|
- Pesticides / Insecticides
:
Used as an Insecticides carrier
. The Silica absorbs
the oily or wax like components, present in the insect
cuticles thereby killing it, by dehydration
|
- Paints :
Used for
delustering and flattening effects in paints, prevents
settling of pigments in storage, stabilizes emulsions, guarantees
drip less applications and helps to cover a greater Surface
Area.
|
- Tooth – Paste :
Used
in the manufacture of Tooth-Powder, Normal & Transparent
Tooth-Pastes and Medicated Tooth-Pastes. Silica when added
to the Tooth-Powder or Paste, acts as a good abrasive agent,
thereby cleaning the teeth thoroughly. The transparency of highly
porous and high surface area Silica permits the development
of transparent Tooth-Pastes.
|
- Free – Flowing Salt /
Fruit Concentrates (Powder) : Due to the possibility of
manufacturing Precipitated Silica in it’s pure form and
due to it’s characteristics of absorbing moisture, it
finds it’s application in Free Flowing Salt and Fruit
Juice Concentrates (Powder Form) industries.
|
- Inks :
Used for viscosity
control and for increasing the number of Impressions of
Inks.
|
- Cosmetics : Used as
thickening agent and as an absorbent of natural oils.
|
- Paper :
Used as an
extender for Titanium Dioxide.
|
- Adhesives : Used as a
reinforcing and thickening agent. The dispersed silica
particles within a liquid adhesive, harden fast when in
contact with a solid surface.
|
- Dyes :
Used as
dilutant in dyes, specifically where a transparent dilutant
is required which does not affect the luster. For eg. Fluorescent
Dyes.
|
- Pelletizing : Used as
a binding agent in pelletizing and tableting of organic and
inorganic powders.
|
- Grease : Used in the
manufacture of Vacuum and High Temperature Greases.
|
- Insulation : Used in
thermal insulating material, where working temperatures go up to
300 Degree Centigrade and above.
